Permitted Uses
You may use our services to:
- Search for and connect with registered dietitian nutritionists
- Create and maintain a professional dietitian listing (if you are a qualified RDN)
- Share accurate information about nutrition services
- Communicate professionally with other users
- Access educational resources and information
Prohibited Activities
Illegal Activities
You may not use our services to:
- Violate any local, state, federal, or international law
- Engage in fraudulent activities
- Practice without proper credentials or licenses
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Violate intellectual property rights
Harmful Content
You may not post, transmit, or share content that:
- Is false, misleading, or deceptive
- Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
- Is sexually explicit or pornographic
- Promotes violence or illegal activities
- Contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Infringes on privacy rights of others
Professional Misconduct
Dietitians using our platform must not:
- Make false or exaggerated claims about qualifications
- Provide misleading information about services
- Guarantee specific health outcomes
- Violate professional codes of ethics
- Provide unlicensed medical advice
- Engage in unprofessional conduct
System Abuse
You may not:
- Use automated systems or bots to access the service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the platform
- Scrape or harvest data from the platform
- Create multiple fake accounts
Spam and Solicitation
You may not:
- Send unsolicited commercial communications
- Use the platform for bulk marketing or spam
- Collect email addresses for marketing purposes
- Post repetitive or irrelevant content
User Content Guidelines
All content you post must:
- Be accurate and truthful
- Be professional and appropriate
- Respect privacy and confidentiality
- Comply with HIPAA and other privacy regulations (if applicable)
- Not violate any third-party rights
Professional Standards
Registered dietitian nutritionists using our platform must maintain professional standards and comply with all applicable regulations, including but not limited to:
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics
- State licensing requirements
- HIPAA privacy regulations
- Professional liability insurance requirements
Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us immediately at abuse@dietitiansofamerica.com. Include as much detail as possible, including:
- Description of the violation
- Username or profile information
- Date and time of the violation
- Any relevant screenshots or evidence
Enforcement
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:
- Warning or notice
- Temporary suspension of account
- Permanent termination of account
- Removal of content
- Legal action if necessary
- Reporting to appropriate authorities
We reserve the right to take any action we deem appropriate, in our sole discretion, to enforce this policy.
Cooperation with Law Enforcement
We will cooperate with law enforcement authorities and may disclose user information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or comply with legal processes.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
